The Last Chapters…
Dazed and (happily) confused in a new world, in an old country. Portugal experienced!
What Dreams may come…
Flickering light before a candle finally dies a lonely silent death in the darkest void, a last faint breath stirs the unseen stars above a cloudless veil. A universe dissolves in a trembling vortex leaving nothing behind but a memory of a dream so faint it defies a time before or yet to be. The seeds of life scattered in the cosmic dust of what was, what is to be, what never existed and all that the future holds.
Strange times, these last chapters in life, written in the wet sand before the tide claims our unread stories. And so you came to me in that early morning mist. What purpose, this last vision of you, clear and sharp as razor’s edge?
Forgiveness chasing the last grains of sand in the eternal hourglass; what else could it be? Words are but shadows of our feelings, faint utterings scratched upon a page in the Book of Life.
Seeking charity, reprieve, compassion, lenience, absolution...Grace, I ask too much. And yet, there is another favor I have to ask. Not today, not tomorrow, but soon.
Love the imagery and feeling this evokes. As someone who was given an opportunity by you 40 years ago, I'm always looking to you, and others of our clan, to find new reasons for exploring what life has to offer. Look forward to reading more. Keep it going
Much appreciated Bill
